While other brands are releasing smartphones with low-end specs and high-end money, an Indian Phone manufacturer – Ringing bells – has launched Freedom 251 – an Android Lollipop based device- priced at Rs. 251 ($4 – or approx. N800 ) making it the world’s cheapest smartphone.
A 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage with a Micro SD slot expandable to 32GB, you have a 3.2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel shooter in front.
And finally a 1,450mAh battery
However, the pictures shown above which is just a graphical representation is not the same as the one shown in a newspaper ad.
It’s worrying to note that the images of Freedom 251 on website and newspaper ad are completely different

We would have to wait to see which image to believe. In the meantime, N800 for a smartphone?!!
