The durable variant of Samsung Galaxy S7 might be your companion on your next trip
It seems like Samsung’s latest flagship smartphones, Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be followed by a new variant; Galaxy S7 Active. The South-Korean giant has been introducing the Active model for quite some time which caters to users who demand a rugged and durable device.
The arrival of this model is expected soon as SamMobile has been able to spot it in the latest update of the Samsung Level application.
The most eminent features of the Active variants are the rubber cases that protect its water- and dust-resistant body. However, since the latest models are already designed to withstand harsh conditions, Samsung Galaxy S7 Active was least expected, even though it was rumored to be in the pipeline.
It seems that there is no need for the Active variant because it will pretty much offer the same features; S6 and S6 Active are both waterproof and dust resistant. However, an active Variant has more to offer than just these two features; they are actually created to be used in all kinds of conditions.
Details about specifications of this device have not yet been shared, so we can only predict its features and specs based upon those offered by the S6 Active. We believe that just like its predecessor, the sturdy body will most likely be designed to sustain a drop of up to four feet. It will pack in a bigger battery, the same camera which is in Samsung S7, three physical buttons on the front, and a shortcut button to quickly launch some features, such as the camera or fitness trackers. Moreover, 4 GB RAM and Octa Core Snapdragon 820 chip set which powers Galaxy S7, will also most likely be in the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. It might also have the latest Always On Display which ensures that users never miss any notifications.
