Apple takes Samsung to Supreme Court for being a CopyCat

Patent  infringements are common with OEMs and Phone Manufacturer because In the process of compiling and designing a phone, A lot goes  down.
The same is happening now,  Apple Inc.  has sued Samsung for copying its Iphone design patent which includes iPhone’s rectangular face with rounded edges, The IPhone famous bezel edge frame and a home screen
populated by apps arranged in a
grid.
Samsung has accepted Apple’s claim of being an actual copycat but there’s a problem.
Apple is asking Samsung to pay $548M.  And the $548M is the actual profit generated from all 9 Samsung Smartphones with IPhone’s Copied patents. Samsung isn’t willing to let down all the profits of its smartphone sales at Apple’s feet.
According to Samsung:
Awarding all of the profits for
a single patent devalues the
contributions of the hundreds of
thousands of other patents in a
smartphone.
We are hopeful that the Supreme Court will give a sensible and fair reading to the design patent statute. That would be a win for businesses and consumers alike.
With more design patents than anyone else in the United States, design has always been an integral part of Samsung.
The case is till pending a verdict from the Supreme Court. Speaking about chances, Apple holds better grounds on winning the case.
